4 killed in car-tanker accident on Kapadvanj-Nadiad road

Nadiad: A tragic accident between a tanker and a car took place late at night on Kapadvanj-Nadiad road, in which four people were killed in the morning while one was shifted to hospital for treatment of serious injuries. According to media reports, two of the dead are from Lakhtar taluka of Surendranagar district while the other two are residents of Viramgam. Further investigations are being conducted by the local police following the accident.

According to media reports, the accident took place late at night near Porda Patiya in Kathlal. As the Swift was approaching Kathalal from Kapadvanj, the car overturned while overtaking a tanker, killing four of the five occupants and seriously injuring one. Pictures of the accident have also surfaced, from which one can estimate how serious the accident was.

According to the information received, five people were in the car in which the accident took place. Four of them died on the spot. So one person was seriously injured. The seriously injured man was shifted to a private hospital in Kathlal and the bodies of the deceased were shifted to Kathlal Community Health Center for postmortem. Upon learning of the incident, a convoy of local police reached the spot and registered a case of accidental death and took further action.
