Transfer of 109 IAS officers in the state, Mukesh Puri made Additional Chief Secretary, Home Department

Ahmedabad: There has been a massive transfer of IAS officers in Gujarat. As many as 109 officers have been transferred. It may be noted here that the discussion of transfer of IAS officers was going on for a long time. Officers of important departments have changed. Mukesh Puri has been made ACS of Home Department. Most of the senior officers have been transferred. 10 officers have also been transferred along with promotion. AK Rakesh has been given the charge of Agriculture Department. Collector of Ahmedabad Dr Dhavalkumar Patel has been transferred as Commissioner of Geology and Mining, Gandhinagar. Pravina D K has been made the Collector of Ahmedabad.

There has been a massive transfer of IAS officers in the state. As many as 109 officers have been transferred. In which many senior officials including AK Rakesh, Kamal Dayani, Arun Solanki, Mukesh Kumar, Rameshchandra Meena, Mohammad Shahid, Sanjeev Kumar, Rupwant Singh Manishachandra, Bachchanidhi Pani, Harshad Patel, Alok Pandey have been transferred. So Pravina DK has been made Ahmedabad Collector. There was a discussion that after the end of the budget session, there will be a flurry of transfers once again, today as many as 109 officers have been transferred in the state.

After the completion of the budget session of the Legislative Assembly, the officials were likely to get promotions in the month of April, but as many as 109 officials have been transferred on the last day of March itself. Mukesh Puri has been made ACS of Home Department. Praveena DK has been made Ahmedabad Collector. It may be noted here that these are the first major changes after the formation of the new government. These transfers involve massive transfers of officers who have been in the same department for more than 3 years.

According to the information, the Lok Sabha elections of 2024 have been kept in mind in these transfers and various officials have also been assigned responsibility accordingly. Also, more than 15 ambitious projects have been kept in mind in the transfers. Also, faces have also been changed in the districts where there were complaints. Also new accounts have been allotted to the officers who had good performance.
