Gandhinagar: Big news is coming for students preparing for competitive exams. In which the government has made major changes in the recruitment exam conducted for Class-III. In this regard, the new rules for the Class-3 recruitment exam have been announced. According to the information received, now there will be a two-tier examination structure for recruitment. In which prelims and mains will be conducted accordingly. It has been announced that all these rules will be applicable for the recruitment of Office Assistant, Junior Clerk, Senior Clerk and Clerk. On the other hand, a big decision has also been taken regarding the waiting list. Let’s take a detailed look at the complete changes in recruitment exam rules.
The government issued a notification
The Gujarat government has made major changes in the Class-III recruitment exams. There are also chances that no waiting list will be announced in class-3 examination. Along with this, a two-tier examination system will now be implemented for recruitment. Also, the main exam of class-3 will be conducted in 2 groups. In which the stages are arranged as preliminary and mains. In that case, if the candidate has passed the preliminary exam, he can give the mains exam only.
Continuous updates should be given about the vacancies in the departments
According to media reports, the entire merit will be prepared on the basis of mains exam only. However, in the meantime, the departments have been advised every year that they have to give constant updates to the secretary about the number of vacant posts. An option has also been made available for candidates to appear in either Gujarati or Hindi. Along with this, he will also take care that all these arrangements are made keeping in mind the rules of the recruitment board. After completing the process candidates will be selected based on merit.
Know in detail about the change in exam pattern
Now according to the new rules, class-3 will be considered in 2 types, which will be upper class-3 and lower class-3. First of all, let us talk about the Upper Class-3 exam stage. In this the preliminary examination will be conducted for 100 marks for which 1 hour time will be allotted. A candidate of any category must score at least 40 marks in this examination. In the preliminary examination, there will be 40 marks of Reasoning and Mathematics, 30 marks of Aptitude, 15 marks of English and 15 marks of Gujarati.
After passing 3 papers have to be given
After clearing this exam 3 papers have to be written like GPSC. This will be given a duration of 3 hours. Meanwhile, the first paper will be of Gujarati in which there will be a question paper along with letter, essay. Which will be a paper of 100 marks. The second paper will be in English and it will also be of 100 marks. While the third paper will be General Studies it will have 150 marks. It will cover questions from all subjects like history, heritage, constitution, economy, science and technology and public administration. In the meantime, the marks of the main examination will be seen in the final selection.
Examination Structure of Lower Class-III
Now let’s talk about lower class-3 exam, there will be a paper of 200 marks here. For which 2 hours duration will be given. There will be English 20 marks, Gujarati 20 marks, Constitution, Public Administration, RTI, CPS, PCA 30 marks, Economy, Science and Technology, Environment 30 marks, Current Affairs 30 marks and Mathematics and Reasoning 40 marks. As per the details received, now no computer test will be conducted in any class-3. The options that are available will also be of GPSC level and the mains exam will remain.

According to media reports, the Cabinet meeting of the Chief Minister was held. In the meantime, there were discussions on this issue with the experts who were there. This decision has been taken after a long period of observation. After that the Gujarat government has released a new structure for Class-3 recruitment exam.
