Rain has been recorded in various taluks of Gujarat in the last 24 hours. There was rain with hail in Kutch. Along with this, rain has also fallen in Banaskantha, Himmatnagar and Dhanera.
In Gujarat, Saurashtra, Kutch, North, Central and South Gujarat received rain with hail. Cities including Ahmedabad received light rain after cloudy weather. Crops including wheat, chickpea, potato were damaged due to unseasonal rains in the month of March across the country. In a large number of fields, the crops that had been cut and kept ready were flooded again. Unseasonal rains in the state since the beginning of March have increased the farmers’ worries. According to the forecast of the Meteorological Department, there may still be 2 days of unseasonal rain as a system becomes active again.
