DJs should be banned from playing at weddings
So BJP MLA from Mandvi, Anirudh Dave, during the discussion on climate change and the demands of the forest and environment department, demanded that the state government should keep the street lights off during the lunar night every month. Fatesinh Chauhan, a BJP MLA from Kalol in Panchmahal district, said that the state government should ban DJs playing at weddings, as it not only causes noise pollution, but also damages tribal culture. The tribal songs and traditional dances that used to be the main attraction at weddings are now disappearing because of DJs, they said.

Wild animals should be shifted to Gir sanctuary
Apart from this, Banaskantha MLA Geni Thakor demanded that the state government should move wild animals like Nile cow and wild boar to Gir sanctuary. So that they can be useful in lion hunting. They also said that shifting such wild animals could end the problem of Banaskantha farmers, where wild animals damage standing crops. This will also stop the lions that go out of the sanctuary in search of prey. Then the state government may consider these suggestions and requests of MLAs. After consideration, the state government can also take an important decision on this issue.
