Ahmedabad: A shocking incident of molestation has come to light in Chandkheda area of the city. A 28-year-old woman filed a complaint with the police on Wednesday that her trainer molested her inside the lift of the gym where she comes for regular workouts. The woman, who runs an automobile business, said in the complaint that she started going to the gym about 10 days ago and accused Nilesh Chauhan was her personal trainer.

The gym trainer did the dirty work in the elevator
According to the complaint, on May 21, she reached the gym premises at 4 pm and when she entered the lift to go to the fifth floor, Chauhan followed her and allegedly started molesting her. When she resisted and said, she will inform her husband about this. Hawaskhor Chauhan then allegedly threatened to kill him. Due to which the frightened wife did not inform her husband.
The gym trainer asked for a picture without clothes
On May 23, when she was at the gym, Chauhan allegedly asked for her latest photograph and said he would compare it with the one taken six months later to check her fitness progress. The complaint also alleges that Chauhan also asked Parineeta for a picture without clothes. However, Parineeta refused to be photographed and went to the aerobics class.
Physical contact started in the elevator
When Parineeta left her aerobics class to go home, Chauhan told her he wanted to meet her downstairs. He then entered the lift and started pressing the lift buttons. The complaint alleges that Chauhan did not let her out of the lift and again sexually assaulted her. However, Parineeta somehow managed to escape and called her husband. Later, the woman called the police control room and lodged a complaint of stalking, molestation and criminal threats against Chauhan.
Police Arrested Havaskhor Gym Trainer
Based on the complaint of the wife, the Chandkheda police registered a case under various sections against the accused Chauhan and later arrested him and initiated legal action.
Absconding accused caught with pistol
It may be mentioned that 26-year-old Chirag Patel was arrested with a pistol, magazine and four cartridges from Kubernagar in the city on Wednesday. Police said Patel was arrested earlier in a case registered by the Dabhoda police and was in jail since May 2022. However, he later got out on bail and remained absconding.
