Farmers are waiting for the installment of PM Kisan Yojana since August. An official of the Ministry of Agriculture associated with this scheme said that the money for the 12th installment will be available from August to November. So money can be sent anytime till November. It is expected that by October 15, farmers will get an installment of Rs 2000-2000.
Why is verification happening?
When PM Kisan Yojana was started in December 2018, the government had set a target of giving money to more and more farmers in a hurry. Because there were Lok Sabha elections in 2019. But after the elections were over, Aadhaar was made mandatory. Despite this, some people wrongly took advantage of the scheme. Whom the government called ineligible farmers. Therefore, now the verification of farmers is being done at many levels. A total of 54 lakh such ineligible farmers took advantage of Rs 4300 crore. But, now it is becoming difficult to recover from them.
Ineligible farmers also got benefit
In such a situation, now the government is not only getting the beneficiaries e-KYC done but also getting the land records matched with their given records. The intention of the government is that the data of more and more farmers should be correct and they should not face any problem in getting money in future also. The government wants that the money should not go into the hands of the ineligible under any circumstances, while no eligible farmer should be deprived of the scheme.
How much money was given to the farmers?
So far, more than Rs 2 lakh crore has been given to about 11.37 crore farmers under PM Kisan Yojana. Farmers get Rs 6000 annually in three installments of Rs 2,000 each. The ruling party has also got a lot of political benefits from this scheme. Because for the first time in the country, farmers are getting direct money. It has been told that after the completion of the verification and matching of land records, the government will release 22 thousand crore rupees to about 11 crore farmers simultaneously.
