49 thousand subsidy on one hectare for onion cultivation
The Horticulture Department of Bihar has started the Special Horticulture Crop Scheme to promote the cultivation of other agricultural products including onions in the state. Under this scheme, the Horticulture Department is giving 49 thousand rupees per hectare to the farmers for onion cultivation. This amount will be given to the farmers under subsidy. In fact, the Horticulture Department has set 50 percent subsidy for onion cultivation. So at the same time, the cost of 98 thousand rupees has been fixed on one hectare. According to this, a subsidy of 49 thousand rupees is being given to the farmers for one hectare.
Farmers of these districts can get the benefit of subsidy
Under the Special Horticulture Crop Scheme launched by the Horticulture Department of the Government of Bihar, only farmers of selected districts can take the benefit of subsidy on onion cultivation. Under the scheme, farmers of Aurangabad, Bhagalpur, Begusarai, Darbhanga, Gaya, Kaimur, Katihar, Madhubani, Munger, Muzaffarpur, Nawada, East Champaran, West Champaran, Purnia, Rohtas, Samastipur, Saran, Sitamarhi, Siwan and Vaishali districts cultivate onion. But can get benefits for subsidy.
Subsidy for the cultivation of Magahi betel and tea
The Horticulture Department of the Government of Bihar is trying to promote the cultivation of Magahi betel and tea in the state under the Special Horticulture Crop Scheme. In this episode, both these agriculture are giving subsidy for the cultivation of horticultural products. Under which the farmers of Kishanganj district are being given 50 percent subsidy of Rs 2 lakh 47 thousand for the cultivation of tea. On the other hand, farmers of Nawada, Gaya, Nalanda, Aurangabad Sheikhpura districts are being given a subsidy of Rs 32250 for 300 square meters for the cultivation of Magahi betel.
Application process has started
The Horticulture Department of the Government of Bihar has sought applications from farmers to get the benefit of subsidy under the Special Horticulture Crop Scheme.
