Cabinet Minister Gopal Rai gave information about the occurrence of Lumpy Skin Disease in Delhi on Saturday. He told that 173 cases of Lumpy Skin Disease have been reported in Delhi. All these cases have come from the South-West district. Under which cases of Lumpy Skin Disease have been registered from areas like Goyla Dairy, Ghummanhera, Najafgarh and Revla Khanpur. There are a large number of cowsheds in these areas. This is the first time that cases of Lumpy Skin Disease have been reported in Delhi.

80 thousand cattle in Delhi

There are 80 thousand cattle in Delhi. In the same proportion, the Delhi government has planned to buy 60 thousand goto pox vaccines. According to Cabinet Minister Gopal Rai, the central government which is finalizing the rate contract with the supplier has assured that 60,000 doses will reach us soon.

At the same time, the Delhi government has deployed two mobile veterinary hospitals and formed 11 rapid response teams to collect virus samples. Four teams will make people aware of the virus. At the same time, more than 57 thousand cattle have died due to this virus.

According to the information, Lumpy Skin Disease is a viral disease, which spreads between cattle through direct contact with mosquitoes, flies, louse and wasps. It is also spread through contaminated food and water. It does not spread from cattle to humans. Symptoms include high fever, decreased milk production, skin lumps, loss of appetite, runny nose and watery eyes.
