Government will give 90 percent subsidy on collective farming, Agriculture Minister announced

The Haryana government has told the farmers that more profits can be earned by doing collective farming. A provision of up to 90 percent subsidy has been made on collective farming. Agriculture Minister Jai Prakash Dalal for this Farmer Producer Organization (FPO) has been called for. He said that Haryana Farmers Welfare Authority has been constituted for the welfare of farmers and to increase their income. State ministers, IAS officers and vice-chancellors of universities have been included in the authority.

What will the Farmers Welfare Authority do?

A group of 5 to 6 farmers who have done remarkable work in the production of different crops will be formed in the authority. In this way, different groups of about 6-6 farmers will be formed. These farmers’ groups will give suggestions to the government to improve the agriculture sector and increase income and the government will work to implement their suggestions. Dalal said that the aim of the authority is to promote agriculture and ensure the welfare of farmers. In future all the major suggestions shared by the farmers will be included in the state plans.

Will implement good policies of other states

Agriculture Minister Dalal said that the state government is ready to implement any good policy for the benefit of farmers. If any good policy or technique is being adopted on any subject in any state, then inform the government about it. The government will send officials to get it studied and it will be implemented in the state.

From seed to market, the government is helping the farmers. The government is also giving subsidy to the farmers who adopt micro-irrigation methods. Haryana is the first state in the country to insure vegetables and fruits. Bhavantar Bharpayee Yojana has been implemented for vegetables. The aim is to make farmers risk free.

Income of lakhs in shrimp farming

Jai Prakash Dalal said that Haryana has 8 to 10 lakh acres of salt water land. In such a land, lakhs of rupees can be earned by cultivating prawn fish. The government is giving training and subsidy for this. The government has also implemented a plan to recover the water from the beneficiary land.

No one should have a monopoly in buying produce

The minister said that the government wants that no one should have a monopoly on buying the produce of farmers. More than one buyer should be found to buy the produce of the farmer so that he does not have to pay tax in the mandis and also get good prices. Farmers can sell their products as per their wish. Referring to irrigation, he said that there is a water crisis in Haryana. Therefore, farmers should adopt micro-irrigation techniques. For this, a provision of subsidy has been made.
