40 percent subsidy on dragon fruit and up to 75 percent subsidy on papaya cultivation
The Horticulture Department of the Government of Bihar is giving subsidy ranging from 40 to 75 percent for the horticulture of various fruits and flowers under the National Horticulture Mission and Chief Minister Horticulture Mission Scheme. This subsidy will be payable at cost. Under the scheme, 40 percent subsidy is payable for horticulture of dragon fruit and strawberry. Similarly, a provision has been made to give 50 percent for the cultivation of pineapple, marigold and loose flowers, other fragrant flowers and spices. Whereas under the scheme, a subsidy of 75 percent will be payable to the farmers for the cultivation of papaya.
Farmers of these districts can avail benefits
Only farmers of selected districts of the state can take advantage of the National Horticulture Mission and Chief Minister Horticulture Mission Scheme run by the Horticulture Department of the Government of Bihar. Under the National Horticulture Mission, Patna, Nalanda, Rehtash, Gaya, Aurangabad, Muzaffarpur, East Champaran, West Champaran, Vaishali, Darbhanga, Madhubani, Samastipur, Saharsa, Purnia, Katihar, Araria, Kishanganj, Munger, Begusarai , Jamui, Khagaria, Banka and Bhagalpur farmers can raise.
On the other hand, farmers of Bhojpur, Buxar, Kaimur, Jehanabad, Arwal, Nawada, Saran, Siwan, Gopalganj, Sitamarhi, Sheohar, Supaul, Madhepura, Lakhisarai, Sheikhpura can take advantage of the subsidy scheme available under the Chief Minister’s Horticulture Mission.

Application process started
