Fertilizer shortage in Bihar! Urea supplied 22 percent less in proportion to the requirement in Kharif season

Due to this farmers are facing many problems. Short supply is the main reason for this fertilizer crisis arising in Bihar. According to the information, according to the need of this Kharif season, 22 percent less urea has been allocated to Bihar by the Central Government. The Bihar government claims that this reduction has been made in the allocation of urea by the central government from the peak season (June to August).

Requirement of 10.10 lakh metric tonnes of manure

According to the information received from the Bihar government, Bihar needed 10.10 lakh metric tonnes of manure from April 1 to September 12 in the Kharif season. Accordingly, till this time period, 7.89576 lakh metric tonnes of manure has been supplied by the central government, which is 78 percent of the requirement ratio.

According to the data released by the Bihar government, 1.03 lakh metric tonnes of manure was supplied in the ratio of 1.20 lakh metric tonnes as per the requirement in June. Similarly, in July, 1.72 lakh metric tonnes of manure was supplied in proportion to the demand of 2.50 lakh metric tonnes and in August, 2.51 lakh metric tonnes of manure was supplied in proportion to the requirement of 2.80 lakh metric tonnes.

DAP also supplied 64 percent

Along with urea this Kharif season, Bihar has also been short supply of DAP. According to the information received from the Bihar government, 3 lakh metric tonnes of DAP was required this Kharif season, corresponding to this, 1.90 lakh metric tonnes of DAP has been supplied, which is 64 percent. At the same time, NPK has also supplied 1.61 lakh metric tonnes to Bihar in proportion to the total requirement of 2 lakh tonnes.

There was less supply in the last Kharif season too

In many states including Bihar, the fertilizer crisis had deepened in the last kharif season. Due to this farmers had to face many problems. In this episode, only 77 percent urea was supplied to Bihar in proportion to its needs. Similarly, in the last kharif season, Bihar was supplied 58 per cent of the DAP and 86 per cent of the NPK supply as per the requirement.
