Farmers will gather again on November 26 at Singhu border, will mobilize for MSP guarantee law including loan waiver

Farmers are going to mobilize once again in the country. Under which farmers are going to mobilize as a big Mahasabha on the Singhu border located in Delhi-Haryana on 26 November regarding loan waiver, MSP guarantee law. United Kisan Morcha apolitical has decided to convene this Mahasabha of farmers under its banner. The decision in this regard has been taken in the meeting of United Kisan Morcha Apolitical held in Bangalore on Sunday. On 26 November 2020 itself, farmers have started agitation against three agricultural laws.

North India’s General Assembly on the Singhu border, one lakh farmers will gather

Abhimanyu Kohad, an officer of the United Kisan Morcha Apolitical, told about the decision taken in the meeting held in Bangalore that on November 26, the proposed Kisan Mahasabha on the Singhu border would be the General Assembly of North India. Similar Kisan Mahasabhas will also be organized in Central India and South India. He told that there is a possibility of gathering of more than one lakh farmers in the proposed Kisan Mahasabha on the Singhu border on November 26.

Karnataka assembly begins with gherao

Abhimanyu Kohad, official of United Kisan Morcha Apolitical, said that the march is vocal with the demand of farmers across the country. Under which efforts are being made to unite farmers from all over the country. It is to be started by gheraoing the Karnataka Legislative Assembly on behalf of the farmers. In which the farmers of the state will gherao the assembly for the major demands.

These are the demands of farmers

  • According to the C2+50% formula of the Swaminathan Commission, a law should be made to guarantee the MSP.
  • All the farmers of the country should be made debt free.
  • Support price of sugarcane should be increased and cane arrears should be paid immediately.
  • India should come out of WTO and cancel all free trade agreements.
  • All the cases registered during the farmers’ movement should be withdrawn.
  • Under the Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana, the outstanding compensation of the farmers should be paid immediately.

Kisan Mahapanchayat has been organized at Jantar Mantar

The United Kisan Morcha has organized a Kisan Mahapanchayat on 22nd August at Jantar Mantar in New Delhi regarding these demands. A large number of farmers from North India had participated in this one-day Kisan Mahapanchayat. After this, a memorandum was submitted to the President on behalf of the front regarding its demands. The first meeting of the MSP committee constituted by the Ministry of Agriculture was also being held in Delhi on the same day. After the demands were not implemented, the fronts have announced a new Kisan Mahapanchayat.
