Bihar government is promoting agro-based industries, 25 percent subsidy to farmers’ companies

India is an agriculture based country. Major population here is based on agriculture. For example, the majority of the country’s population is associated with agriculture. In this episode, agro-based industries are being promoted inside the country. with whom Bihar government has started an effort, which on one hand is beneficial for the entrepreneurs, while on the other hand it is helpful in providing market to the farmers for their products. Keeping this in mind, the Government of Bihar has started the Bihar Agricultural Investment Promotion Investment Policy 2020. Under this policy, the Bihar government is giving a subsidy of up to 25 percent on setting up agro-based industries. Under the policy, from entrepreneurs to farmer organizations, by setting up agro-based industries, they can get the benefit of subsidy.

Industries based on these agricultural products can be set up

The Government of Bihar has made an effort to provide market to some special agricultural products under the Bihar Agricultural Investment Promotion Investment Policy 2020. Under which subsidy is being given on setting up of Makhana fruits and vegetables, honey, medicinal and aromatic plants, maize and tea based industries.

Subsidy on 25 lakh to 5 crore project

The Bihar government is giving the benefit of subsidy on the project of 25 lakh to 5 crore under its Bihar Agriculture Investment Promotion Investment Policy 2020. For example, those entrepreneurs, farmers’ organizations who want to set up agro-based industries, they will be given subsidy under the policy on the project of 25 lakh to 5 crore.

15 percent subsidy to private firms and 25 percent subsidy to farmer producer companies

The Government of Bihar, under its Agricultural Investment Promotion Investment Policy 2020, is giving the benefit of subsidy to women entrepreneurs, from private firms to farmer producer companies, to promote agro-based industries. Under which a provision has been made to give a subsidy of 15 percent of the total cost to private firms, partnership firms. At the same time, a provision has been made in the policy to give subsidy of 25 percent of the total cost to the farmer producer companies. Similarly, 20 percent subsidy will be given to entrepreneurs belonging to Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and Backward Classes. At the same time, a provision of 17 percent subsidy has been made in the policy to handicapped entrepreneurs including women.
