Haryana Government has taken an important decision to give relief to the farmers. crop loss decided to get the assessment done. in order to get compensation for the loss. Deputy CM Dushyant Chautala told that for this Girdawari will start from August 5. After Girdawari, the farmers affected by the natural calamity will be given compensation according to the loss in the crop. In case of complete crop failure, Rs 15,000 per acre will be paid. The Deputy CM has given orders to the officers to get the water drainage done in the villages and fields on a war footing.
The Deputy CM was visiting several waterlogged-affected villages in Hisar and Bhiwani districts on Monday. He has directed the officials to drain the water at the earliest to provide relief to the people from the waterlogging caused by heavy rains. Chautala said that till the time there is no drainage of water, a control room should be set up in the SDM office and all the Beldars should do only drainage work.
Special focus for waterlogging
Chautala asked the officials of the Irrigation Department to ensure availability of the pipeline in view of excessive water logging in village Gurana of Hisar district and he gave a grant of Rs 30 lakh from his voluntary quota. He said that the people of the village should also be allowed to put water in the canal by putting a burma on the tractor, so that 10 to 20 tractors in each village would be used for drainage works. Tractor owners engaged in drainage work will also be paid the cost by fixing the rate.
The Deputy CM, while visiting the water logging situation in Mirchpur village, got the pipes procured on the spot and started the drainage work. He met farmers in Koth Kalan, Mirchpur, Rakhi Khas, Bas, Kharbala and other villages and took their feedback and assured them that the drainage work would be done on a war footing.
Government will make waterlogged land cultivable
Let us tell you that there is about 10 lakh hectares of land in Haryana where there is water logging. Out of this, the government has set a target to fix one lakh hectares and get it cultivated. In the waterlogged areas, water will be pumped to the nearest drain by laying pipelines and installing pumpsets. The portal has been created to get rid of the problem of water logging. Farmers can voluntarily get the drainage done from their agriculture land by uploading the details on the portal.
