Agriculture fair starting from September 13 in Haryana, farmers will get solution to their problems

Chaudhary Charan Singh Haryana agricultural university Hisar is all set for the two-day Krishi Mela starting from 13th September. Every year thousands of farmers from Punjab, Rajasthan, Delhi and Uttar Pradesh gather in this fair. Vice Chancellor Prof. BR Kamboj reviewed the progress of the work of the committees constituted for the arrangements in the Krishi Mela and gave his suggestions to make this event a success. He has also called upon the farmers to come to the agriculture fair and take maximum advantage of the improved varieties, techniques of various crops developed by the university.

This time the main theme of Krishi Mela will be water conservation in agriculture. The fair will be organized in front of the gate number three of the university at the Mela Ground on the Agricultural University Balsamand Road. At the inauguration of the fair, Chaudhary Charan Singh, Vice Chancellor of Haryana, Prof. BR Kamboj will be the chief guest. While the Vice Chancellor of Lala Lajpat Rai University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, Hisar, Dr. Vinod Kumar Verma and the Vice Chancellor of Maharana Pratap Horticulture University, Prof. Samar Singh will be the special guest.

Dr. Balwan Singh Mandal, Director of Extension Education of the University informed that progressive farmers of the state will also be honored in the Krishi Mela. Scientists will solve the problems of farmers in the fair

Kisan Goshtis will be organized to solve all the problems related to farming of the farmers coming during the fair. In which the scientists of the university will tell the solution to the problems related to agriculture and animal husbandry of the farmers. Along with this, they will provide crops, seeds, varieties and all other useful information. The visiting farmers will be provided information about the Kharif crops grown by the scientists at the research farm of the university and the technology used in them. Apart from this, agricultural and agro-industrial exhibitions will also be organized in the fair. Due to which farmers will be able to get information about modern agricultural equipments and techniques. Self-reliant India – Self-reliant Farmers Pavilion will be there in this exhibition. In which farmers who started their business after taking training from Haryana Agricultural University will display their products.

It is mandatory for farmers to bring Aadhar card with them.

Wheat seed for the farmers in the fair. H.-1270, 1105, 711, 1124, 1142 and 1184, Wheat’s HD-2967, 3086 and 3226, Wheat’s DBW. 222 and 303 varieties, RH-725, 30 and 749 varieties of mustard, B. H.-393, HC-1, 5 and 7 varieties of gram will also be available. All these varieties of seeds are foundation (foundation) and certified (certified). For the purchase of these seeds, farmers must bring Aadhar card with them.
